Apple released the new MacBook Air

At the presentation at the Brooklynk Music Academy, Apple introduced a new MacBook Air, which has not been updated since 2015. The laptop received a new design, Retina-display, but lost all of the previous ports.

 

The laptop received a keyboard with the third generation “Butterfly” mechanism. In the upper right corner is the Touch ID, built into the power button. The touchpad is now a Force Touch trackpad, which recognizes force. Behind the keyboard are stereo speakers which are 25% louder.

The new MacBook Air has a 13.3-inch Retina screen. The display is 48% percent brighter than the old MacBook Air.
The new MacBook Air is 17% smaller than the previous generation. It is also 10% lighter, its weight is 1.25 kilograms. The usual ports are gone. Instead, the company offers two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Responsible for the performance of the processor Intel Core i5 eighth generation. There are versions with 8 and 16 GB of RAM. The laptop supports SSD up to 1.5 TB. In addition, the Apple T2 chip, which is responsible for Touch ID, data encryption and media encoding, is built into MacBook Air.
Apple promises that the MacBook Air will still work “all day” on a single battery charge.
Pre-orders for the new MacBook Air will open today, and sales will begin on November 7th. The laptop is available in three colors: silver, gray and gold. Prices start at $ 1,199.
