AirPower is officially canceled

Apple abandoned the idea of releasing the AirPower wireless docking station. Reports the TechCrunch edition about it.

According to TechCrunch reporters, Apple changed its mind to release AirPower wireless charging. Representatives of the American company apologized to users for having had to wait for the device for so long. The docking station was announced back in 2017, during the release of the iPhone X. Since then, there has been almost no information about AirPower until today.

“After much effort, we’ve concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have cancelled the project. We apologize to those customers who were looking forward to this launch. We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to push the wireless experience forward,” said Apple SVP of hardware engineeringDan Riccio in a statement.
